Fermier

Fermier, founded in 2006 by Takashi Honda after moving from Tokyo to Niigata, is dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region’s coastal sand dunes near the Sea of Japan. Rooted in the belief that wine should be an agricultural product shaped by nature, Fermier takes a natural approach from cultivation to vinification, minimizing intervention and respecting the environment. The sandy soils, alluvial deposits, and volcanic bedrock of Echizenhama provide a distinctive foundation for wines with finesse and character.
