2023 was an extremely hot and dry year for most of Japan, with wines from this vintage showing a strong ripe character. This Pinot is no exception, and our first impression was the intense nose redolent of rose petals and hawthorn. In classic Pinot fashion, it’s soft and velvety on the palate, with the notable ‘dashi’ character found in many Japanese Pinot Noirs.
