Ah, Niagara. A member of the vitis labrusca family, this table grape remains a cornerstone of Japanese wine culture, and one that’s likely new to most wine drinkers here. It’s unapologetically grapey, with a nose redolent of fresh cut grass, grape skins and jelly.
 
It’s not for everyone, but those who get it, get it.
